Statnett has in Exchange information 11/2010 NPS announced new Elspot/Elbas areas from Monday 15 March 2010.

Statnett has applied to the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate for an exemption from the licensing conditions regarding start-up of the two gas-fired reserve power plants at Nyhamna and Tjeldbergodden. On 23 February Nord Pool Spot suspended Vitel from trading due to the company’s failure to post sufficient collateral. The decision is in line with the rulebook for Nord Pool Spot’s markets.
The collateral requirement should always cover seven days net purchase.
