Market Data for Green Markets

Nord Pool Market Data Services will provide price and other data for new Green Markets products on the Nord Pool website, NPFeed, and FTP services. The NPFeed offers real-time market data, while the FTP allows access to delayed, end-of-day and historical data. Access to this market data will be free of charge in 2005.

The Green Markets products will include market data for:

  • European Allowances (CO2) market
  • Elcertificate Spot market
  • Elcertificate Forward market (coming in 2005)

Nord Pool Website

This website will offer:

  • Delayed market prices

  • Off-exchange trades

  • End-of-day prices for the previous 5 days

  • Graph of end-of-day prices for up to 30 days

  • Intraday trade data (for Elcertificates)

NPFeed

Green Markets data will be offered as two real-time products on NPFeed:

  • Real Time Green Markets Trade and Limited Depth Order Book
  • Green Markets Off-Exchange Trades

Access to these products will be free of charge to existing NPFeed distributors. No enduser fee will be charged to distributors offering these products. Distributors who do not currently subscribe to NPFeed must contact Erling Mork (see contacts below) for more information. This product is currently only available to distributors.

FTP Historical Database

The FTP server will contain a new directory named “Green_markets” and will contain:

  • End-of-day prices and data for Green Markets
  • Delayed market prices

This new directory will be freely accessible for all current FTP distributors and subscribers. Those who do not currently have access to the FTP may contact Erling Mork or Jan Foyn (see below) and will be set up with an account free of charge. The new directory will be available as of 11 February 2005.

As the leading market data provider for the Nordic power market, Nord Pool also offers transaction and price data for elcertificates. This data is distributed through the following channels:

  • world wide web
  • feed, real-time and delayed
  • ftp-server
  • data/analysis on-request

Complete historical closing price data for exchange-traded elcertificates and previous 14 days transaction data will be available free of charge on this website until 31 December 2004.
